Chris Sutton loves Angelino strike in reaction to Rangers loss v RB Leipzig on Twitter
Chris Sutton has shared his instant reaction to Rangers 1-0 loss against RB Leipzig on Thursday evening in the Europa League.
The Bears will welcome the Germans back to Ibrox next week in the return leg of the major semi-finals.
Sutton was left stunned by Angelino’s winner from distance, although he did save some praise for the Scottish champions.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Sutton couldn’t help himself but applaud the strike from distance.
“Rangers fought hard and still well in this tie,” he wrote.
“A moment of brilliance decided the game from Angelino late on. Tremendous volley which you have to applaud.”
It’s a real sickener that the goal that left us behind was an absolute screamer from distance.
RB Leipzig had that one clear chance through Christopher Nkunku who somehow missed, but apart from that Allan McGregor was not troubled.
It looked like a 0-0 draw was written all over this one, and Rangers would have been delighted with that result.
It wasn’t to be though, but only 1-0 is not a disaster and we have to take it to the Germans at Ibrox from whistle one next week.
An early goal would make Ibrox crazy and it would be one of the best atmospheres ever, this is essential.
Sutton was most likely praying for this outcome, but let’s hope it’s us having that last laugh this time next week.
