Ally McCoist explodes at John Kennedy 'treason' after Rangers loss v RB Leipzig
Ally McCoist has exploded at John Kennedy for giving information on Rangers to RB Leipzig ahead of the Europa League showdown.
The Germans won the first leg of the semi-finals 1-0 last night, with it all to play for at Ibrox next week.
McCoist was far from happy with the Celtic coach, labelling his talks pre-game as “treason” and against Scottish football.
Speaking on BT Sports Scottish Football Extra, as shared by Darrell Currie on Twitter, McCoist exploded.
“Don’t start me on the coefficient,” he said.
“Everybody in Scotland seemed to like the coefficient apart from John Kennedy, who has tried to lower the coefficient.
“Hey, John ‘what about Rangers? I’ll give you all the information you want, you’re from Germany, that’ll really help the coefficient.’
“What’s going on with you lot? It’s treason.”
This is simply embarrassing from Kennedy and everyone involved at the club across the city, it’s always them.
We can smell the jealousy from here, with our rivals doing anything to get involved in a major European semi-final.
They can’t do it on the pitch after being knocked out of three separate competitions already this season.
Rangers have been flying the flag for Scottish football very high in recent years, and they have been left to do it alone.
The coefficient score that is seeing automatic qualification for the Champions League is solely down to the Bears at this stage.
Kennedy is also probably still sulking after being battered at every stage when he was given the main job at Parkhead, embarrassing.
