Confirmed Rangers starting XI for huge Europa League showdown v RB Leipzig

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for the huge Europa League semi-final first-leg against RB Leipzig this evening.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his squad travel to Germany having rested up during the 3-1 win over Motherwell with many changes.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Bears have started the likes of Scott Wright, with the main group including John Lundstram returning.

This is a huge evening.

Having the likes of Ryan Kent coming back into the side fully fresh at 100% will be a real weapon against the Germans.

After going down to 10 men and shipping an equaliser against Motherwell, there were thoughts that some of our biggest names would have to be risked.

Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala pulled it out of the bag though and were instrumental in getting the win at Fir Park.

Huge.

This is another big challenge on the way to potentially the biggest night of them all in the final in Seville.

We have been riding this wave all the way through the competition, but now we are only two games away from the final.

RB Leipzig are most likely the favourites now given the four teams left, but Borussia Dortmund were considered one of those before they were embarrassed.

The key is sticking in the tie and taking a positive result back to Ibrox next week, and Van Bronckhorst will no doubt be reminding his side of that, trying to take away any nerves.

It isn’t all about going to Germany this evening and trying to win by three or four goals, the tie will most likely not be decided in this first leg.

What a night promises to follow, let’s hope these lads can set their names in history across the next month or so.

In other Rangers news, One 25-year-old could now be deemed as surplus to requirements at Ibrox this season
