Rangers set to sanction Josh McPake sale after 'Frustrating' development
Rangers will reportedly listen to offers for 20-year-old sensation Josh McPake who’s on the cusp of an Ibrox exit.
According to the Daily Record, the on-loan winger is struggling to get time at League Two club Tranmere Rovers.
His loan spell at the English side has been labelled as ‘Frustrating’ and there seems to be no way back for him at the club.
Recently, the Daily Star reported that even teenager Rory Wilson was eyeing an exit from the club.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst surely will have not been impressed by what he’s seen from the attacker this season.
In all fairness, there hasn’t been much to see as he has failed to win over the coaching staff at Rovers.
He has been on the field of play for a paltry three minutes in the last six games under manager Micky Mellon.
If he’s failing to make an impact in the English fourth tier, there is little indication that he will do well in the SPFL.
While it may not be the same country or division, the level of football is significantly better and McPake will have to jump through plenty of hurdles before he can be considered for a first-team role.
He’s got two years left on his deal so the club can be smart and make a decision on his future sooner rather than later.
They can then start offering him to other sides in the hope that his valuation is driven up and make the most of a player that just hasn’t lived up to his billing.
