Rangers set to fire six-figure bid to beat Liverpool and Manchester United to Lancelot Pollard - report

Rangers are looking to win the race to sign Aberdeen wonderkid Lancelot Pollard, according to the Scottish Daily Express.

The newspaper has reported on their website that the Bears are ready to fire a six-figure bid to get this deal over the line immediately for the young attacker.

It is suggested that Manchester United and Liverpool are in the race, but Rangers look set to get a deal over the line imminently.

Pollard is playing ahead of his age group and has turned out for the Dons at under-18s level already this season.

That has put him into the spotlight of some of England’s biggest clubs, but that has only kicked Rangers on to get a deal done.

Aberdeen are aware that they could lose Pollard for training compensation when he is able to sign his first professional forms.

That is something that could lead to them cashing in early, with the Light Blues ready to take advantage already.

Masterclass.

Ross Wilson looks to have found one of the brightest youth talents in Scotland here and is making his move early.

The likes of Liverpool and Manchester United don’t keep tabs on a youth player unless they are destined for big things.

Pollard looks set to remain in Scotland and will want to continue his progression all the way to the Premiership.

Rangers have a great pathway and will use the likes of Nathan Patterson, Alex Lowry and Leon King as examples in their discussions.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will want the best youth academy in the entire country, and bringing in a constant stream of talent is the way to do that.

With a bid set to go flying into Aberdeen soon, we could expect an announcement in the imminent future.
