Ally McCoist and Chris Sutton predict result of Rangers showdown v Motherwell
Ally McCoist and Chris Sutton have backed Rangers to beat Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
The Bears travel to Fir Park in a matter of hours after the game was successfully brought forward 24 hours.
Sutton backed a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory, with McCoist expecting more goals and a 3-1 deficit to the away side.
Making their predictions on BT Sports Scottish Football Extra last night [22 April], there was an expectancy in the air.
Sutton was still, of course, crying about the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park last week, pointing the finger at Bobby Madden.
There will likely be questions raised should the Bears leave Motherwell with all three points this afternoon, they just can’t help themselves.
That is something that has really cost us dearly in the second half of this season as the schedule becomes more hectic.
We have to back up those two huge results over Braga and Celtic with another massive performance against Motherwell, who will be pushing for European football themselves now.
Of course, not having Aaron Ramsey, Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe available is a huge blow, it would be to anyone.
But, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his men must see this as an opportunity to prove themselves and come up with the answers.
Playing first ahead of Celtic and getting three points before they travel to Ross County could be critical, and it puts pressure on them to deliver.
They were poor last week, and could this season be catching up with them? That is what we hope ahead of another barnstorming Old Firm coming up.
