Simon Jordan blown away by 'fabulous' Rangers win v Celtic in Scottish Cup

Simon Jordan was left blown away by Rangers beating Celtic and Braga in the space of three days over the last week.

The talkSPORT co-host labelled it as “Absolutely fabulous” after both games ended in extra time for the Bears.

It has been described as a big week for Giovanni van Bronckhorst after a small blip saw the Scottish Premiership slip away slightly.

Speaking live on talkSPORT’s White and Jordan this morning [18 April, 10:20 am], the co-host was stunned.

“Absolutely fabulous, fabulous game,” he said.

“I think the better side won in the end, there were periods of the game where Celtic got back into it but I think the better side won.

“It tells you how quickly a week can turn a team’s fortunes around because I thought obviously winning the quarter-finals of the Europa League and then beating Celtic is big for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.”

Wow, what a week this has been.

It isn’t over yet though, and we need to use this as motivation to get back in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.

There is a six-point gap with five games and one Old Firm left to play, so it is very much doable over the next month.

Van Bronckhorst will have seen a Celtic side that were bullied and overran yesterday, and that is what we need to do again in their own backyard in two weeks’ time.

The belief is back, you could see it flooding through the players and fans after these two gigantic wins over the past week.

This is the most competitive season we have seen in Scotland for years and these players need to use that as fuel.

Bring on this next month, it is going to be huge.
