Jim White instantly reacts as Rangers win Scottish Cup semi-final v Celtic
Jim White was blown away by Rangers’ win over Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-finals at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men will face Hearts in the final after goals by two of his substitutes earnt the Dutchman a shot at his first piece of silverware as Gers manager.
Scott Arfield and, in extra-time, Fashion Sakala both came off the bench to score after Greg Taylor had put the Bhoys ahead.
Straight after the game, Rangers-mad talkSPORT host White took to social media to react to the thrilling Old Firm derby.
“What a match at Hampden – and Rangers win, through to the Cup Final, over Celtic,” said White via his personal Twitter account in an instant reaction to the semi-final win.
What a week
We won in extra-time in the Europa League on Thursday night and did it again on Sunday in the Scottish Cup.
Rangers may be out of the race for the Scottish Premiership title but they’re in the semi-finals of the Europa League and now in the final of the Scottish Cup.
RB Leipzig lie in wait in Europe, Hearts are our opponents in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park.
Can we win them both? How good would it be to just be in the final of the Europa League? Especially when West Ham or Frankfurt would also be finalists.
It’s been a crazy, up-and-down season. But things are falling into place for the Gers, who have shone in knock-out football.
Winning against Celtic in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup is one thing but we have to go and finish the job now and win the competition.
Hearts are a good side and easily the best in Scotland away from the Old Firm rivals.
We hope this one doesn’t go to extra-time, thanks, Rangers.
In other Rangers news, one player scored a rotten 3/10 in the ratings for the win over Celtic.
