National newspaper Rangers player ratings v Braga: James Tavernier brilliant
Rangers produced a heroic performance against Braga in the second leg to seal a 3-1 victory (3-2 on aggregate) in the Europa League clash on Thursday at Ibrox.
The Scottish Daily Mail (15 April, page 87) has delivered the players’ ratings for both teams, and Rangers fans won’t be disappointed.
James Tavernier has got 8.5 out of 10, with the national daily hailing him as “brilliant”.

Borna Barisic, Joe Aribo and Kemar Roofe also got 8/10 each, while Aaron Ramsey has got 7.5.
The newspaper is particularly effusive about Barisic, as they note – “his delivery from out wide caused Braga all sorts of problems. Back to his best after a spell out of the team.”
Superb
Absolutely spot on.
Tavernier – He deserves the top-most rating. The skipper scored an early goal to level the tie and had set the platform for a grand finish. He scored again before the break to give his side the lead.

At home, when the team needed a heroic performance, Tavernier once again stepped up and proved his quality.
Barisic – The left-back was brutally criticised after his horror performance against Celtic at Parkhead. However, he has bounced back strongly, in the last couple of games. He produced some gorgeous deliveries from the left flank throughout the game.

Roofe – He had to score the winning goal. The striker was so unfortunate during the game after he had hit the woodwork twice, but by scoring at the death he has silenced all his critics.
Aribo – Another player who looked out of touch in the past few games. He was superb during the game, setting up the winner for Roofe.
In other Rangers news, this international player is likely to have played his final game for his club amid Ibrox speculation.
