BBC pundit left in awe of Rangers Europa League journey after Braga win

Richard Foster has been left in awe of Rangers after their win against Braga last night [April 14] continued their brilliant Europa League run.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side came from being 1-0 down in the first leg to end the tie 3-2 to the good [3-1 on the night].

The former Light Blues defender looked back on their remarkable journey whilst suggesting they are the favourites against RB Leipzig in the semi-final.

Foster said on BBC Sportsound [April 14, 22:45]: “Who would bet against them going through again?

“We’ve seen the magnificent Rangers against Dortmund, the slightly off it Rangers against Braga last week, and then the dominant Rangers without taking chances tonight.”

Onto the next.

The Bears had a huge mountain to climb after such a lacklustre first leg in Portugal.

The Ibrox crowd made all the difference as the Gers went from a very poor looking team after managing no shots on target in the first leg to world beaters last night.

They did make it very hard for themselves allowing the Primeira Liga outfit to equalise which forced the game into extra-time despite only having ten men on the pitch but they got the job done in the end.

Kemar Roofe was the nights’ hero after he bagged the winner in the first half of extra-time.

Hopefully, he can build on this momentum following his hattrick on the weekend against St. Mirren.

They are going to need him at his best on the weekend against Celtic as the Bears prepare for yet another semi-final where they desperately have to get one up on their Old Firm rivals.

In other Rangers news, Ally McCoist and Kenny Miller have gushed over Aaron Ramsey.
