Alfredo Morelos reacts to Rangers Europa League progression v Braga
Rangers reached the semi-finals of the Europa League last night after they eventually disposed of Braga 3-1 after extra time at Ibrox.
Club captain James Tavernier scored twice on the night but a late header from David Carmo sent the game into an extra 30 minutes where Kemar Roofe provided the moment Gers fans everywhere had been waiting for.
Roofe was only starting on the night due to a season-ending injury suffered by Alfredo Morelos while on international duty with Colombia but the Colombian was still in attendance to support his fellow teammates.
The talismanic striker took to Twitter to revel in the Light Blues’ success writing, “Important victory my team is in the semifinal MON THE GERS,” along with a picture of him on crutches alongside the skipper.
Morelos has been linked with a move away from Ibrox for some time with just over one year left on his current contract and rumoured interest from Newcastle United [90Min].
Is he staying?
We had all pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that Morelos was going to be sold in the summer given the interest and the sell-on value he possesses for the club.
But his comments here maybe suggest that he has unfinished business in Glasgow and that he could stay for longer.

It is the “my team” part that really hits home as it seems like his affection for the football club and the tight-knit group of players is reaching its peak.
Rangers have clearly wormed their way into Morelos’ heart and leaving might just be a problem for him if he loves the Scottish life so much.
Now would be the perfect time for the club to lay down a contract in front of him and put the ball firmly in his court over his future.
If he still rejects it, then the dilemma is do we keep him for one final year of good times and lose him for free, or sell him in the summer for the cash and try to find his replacement?
In other Rangers news, a BBC Scotland pundit raged at an “unacceptable” incident during last night’s game live on air.
