Two changes made, Aaron Ramsey starts – Confirmed Rangers XI vs Braga

Rangers have made two changes from their win over St Mirren at the weekend as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Braga in the Europa League tonight.

Calvin Bassey comes back into the side after being rested at the weekend and starts at centre-back, with Leon Balogun given a substitutes role.

In midfield Ryan Jack comes back into the side in place of Fashion Sakala, with Joe Aribo moving into a more advanced role on the right. Aaron Ramsey also starts once again.

Van Bronckhorst is looking to be more attack minded than he was in the first leg with the inclusion of Aribo and Ramsey, while Kemar Roofe will be keen to add to his hat-trick from the weekend.

Confirmed Rangers XI v Braga: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey, Barisic; Jack, Lundstram; Aribo, Ramsey, Kent; Roofe

Massive

Rangers are in ‘save our season’ mode after losing the first leg of this tie and losing to Celtic to essentially concede the Scottish Premiership title just before that.

Another defeat tonight would see them eliminated from the Europa League despite having an amazing opportunity to progress to the semi-finals, while putting them in a shocking position before the Old Firm derby this weekend.

Their mentality would be fragile, whereas a win would be absolutely massive for the morale of the players and also the fans ahead of an incredible end of season run-in.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made some big decisions with his team selection but he knows that the team need to perform better than they have been recently in order to do so.

A big win would see the last few results forgotten and everyone looking up once again, so fingers crossed that the Light Blues can get it done.
