Stephen Craigan fumes at Rangers ace Ryan Jack live on BT Sports v Braga
Stephen Craigan has fumed at Rangers ace Ryan Jack for his “sloppy” play in the opening half against Braga this evening.
The BT Sports pundit was far from impressed as the Scotland international nearly left Calvin Bassey exposed with a shocking pass.
The Bears dominated large areas of possession at Ibrox, and the only real danger came from mistakes made in their own half.
Speaking live on BT Sports coverage of the clash, Craigan was far from impressed with what he saw from the midfielder.
“In that little passage of play, Ryan jack playing a little sloppy pass into Calvin Bassey,” he said.
“That’s just a reminder – Rangers have to be careful, don’t be untidy in your work.”
Untidy.
The last thing we need are individuals making errors in risky areas of the park such as Jack here.
Braga want to be in counter-attacking areas with their pace and skill in the final third, so giving them that chance is not good enough.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have been pleased with everything else on show though at Ibrox, with the Bears simply irresistable at times.
There were numerous occasions where we got sloppy in poor areas which lead to last-ditch tackles and interceptions, and some calm would certainly be appreciated.
The message will be simple at the break, keep it simple at the back but express yourselves in the final third, Braga have shown that they simply cannot handle it.
