Amad Diallo urged to quit Rangers by Paul Parker for ‘softer’ loan
There was a lot of excitement from supporters when Rangers announced the late January loan signing of Manchester United winger Amad Diallo.
A goal just minutes into his Light Blues debut away at Ross County looked to be the start of a great six months but it has all gone downhill since the shocking 3-0 defeat away at Celtic in February.
Diallo was healed off at half-time by Giovanni van Bronckhorst and now ex-United defender Paul Parker wants the Red Devils to recall the Ivorian teenager for a new challenge.

“I think they [Man Utd] need to get him back in or he needs to go somewhere that’s going to be a little more softer for him,” Parker said to BeMyBet.com.
“Because, if he’s going to play for United in the Premier League where the refereeing is softer, there’s not any great physicality, he needs to come back and somebody needs to get their arm around him cause I think he is having a tough, tough time and they need to get him back.
“He is not going to play for Rangers, they are going to maybe suffer the indignity of not defending the title they won under [Steven] Gerrard.
“So it’s going to be tough on the fans and him coming from Manchester United as well, they are going to be very, very demanding.”
Limited opportunities
The 19-year-old was maybe rightly brought out of the firing line during that humiliating night at Parkhead but he should have played more minutes than he has since then.

It seems like van Bronckhorst isn’t going to let him forget his disappointing performance for the rest of the season and he has since been restricted to just the occasional substitute appearance.
What he really needed after the Old Firm destruction was an arm around the shoulder from the manager to remind him just how talented he is.
But instead, he got outed as a reason for the defeat and he has been shunned to the bench ever since.
It’s a dangerous thought that if van Bronckhorst could do it to Diallo, could he also give out this kind of treatment to Rangers’ own young talents such as Alex Lowry or Leon King if they have one poor game after a streak of good ones?
