Tam McManus predicts outcome of Rangers clash v Braga

Tam McManus is confident that Rangers will win the Europa League quarter-final tie against Braga.

The Gers are trailing 1-0 from the first leg but McManus feels that the Ibrox factor will make a big difference.

He has also praised Kemar Roofe who scored a hat-trick in the last match against St Mirren.

Kemar Roofe will be one of plenty to depart Ibrox this summer

McManus told PLZ Sport: “Yeah, I think they will [beat Braga]. I think Rangers will beat Braga. I think Ibrox is behind them, it is a very difficult place to go and get results. So, I think Rangers will win the game.”

Belief

It’s a huge game for Rangers, and McManus is absolutely spot on.

The Scottish Premiership is almost out of their reach following their 2-1 defeat to Celtic. They have to focus on the Europa League and the Scottish Cup to have any chance of winning silverware.

In the first leg, Giovanni van Bronckhorst made some tactical changes, bringing in Fashion Sakala upfront to replace Alfredo Morelos.

Rangers

Sakala failed to make an impact, while the Dutchman dropped Aaron Ramsey as well.

He can’t afford to make any more tactical blunders in the second leg. Kemar Roofe must start after he scored a hat-trick against St Mirren on Sunday.

Rangers will have to find a way to get the best out of Roofe and they must play to his strength. Borna Barisic was superb at the weekend as well, while Joe Aribo also hinted at returning back to his old best with a belter of a goal.
