Andy Walker rages at ‘awful’ St Mirren as Joe Aribo scores Rangers stunner in Paisley
Andy Walker was furious with St Mirren’s defending when Joe Aribo scored in Rangers’ 4-0 win in Paisley on Sunday afternoon.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men were at their absolute best in a straightforward win over the Buddies.
Aribo, 25, scored his eighth goal of the season to round off the victory with a beautiful curling effort from outside the box.

And while Sky Sports pundit Walker was blown away by the Nigeria midfielder’s technique, he couldn’t help but rage at the home side’s defending.
“Look at the amount of space that he’s got, [there’s] no one near him. Even on the turn, [there’s] no one near him,” Walker said on Sky Sports Football [10 April, 01:36pm].
“But credit to Aribo, he doesn’t even need to look at the goal. He knows exactly what’s required, what pace to get it away from [Dean] Lyness.
“It’s a terrific finish, [it’s] something you see Aribo do time and time again.
“But this is awful from St Mirren and no wonder the fans are streaming away.”

Buddies in trouble
St Mirren made it easy for Rangers on Sunday.
After Kemar Roofe grabbed his hat-trick in the 50th minute, the home side seemed to down tools and that’s why they are where they are in the Scottish Premiership table.
There’s a six-point gap between themselves and 11th-placed St Johnstone but there’s definitely time for that gap to be closed down by the Saints, who have been in better form.
As for Rangers, we’re worried that the Scottish Premiership title is getting away from us.
We’ve dropped points too easily in the second half of the season and losing two Old Firm derbies is always going to have that impact.
It’ll take an almighty slip up from Celtic for them to finish second now so the Gers need to start focusing more on the Europa League and the Scottish Cup.
In other Rangers news, the Gers are readying a bid to sign this left-footed ace who supports a rival club.
