BBC man Tam McManus: Ryan Jack will have apologised to Giovanni van Bronckhorst after Rangers anger v Braga

Tam McManus has insisted that Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack will have apologised to Giovanni van Bronckhorst after the 1-0 defeat against Braga.

The BBC pundit reacted after Jack was pictured kicking bottles in a rage after being dragged off midway through the second half.

Jack admitted after the game he was just frustrated with the way the game was going ahead of the second-leg at Ibrox next week.

Speaking live on the PLZ Football Show this afternoon [08 April], McManus reacted to what he saw Jack do in Portugal.

“I think he’s a leader in there,” he said. “He’ll be disappointed with his own performance.

“Getting dragged off midway through the second half, he’s angry, and listen, I think you’re allowed to show that, but I think you high-five the manager first.

“He will have apologised to the manager.”

No need.

This is the passion we want to see from our players.

Jack has epitomised everything we want to see since his return to 100% from injury in recent months.

The partnership with John Lundstram has been massive, especially in Europe, and there will have been frustration that it didn’t work as well against Braga as they counter-attacked.

No one wants to be dragged off, regardless of the position they play and the way the game is going at the time, that is just normal.

Jack was alongside Van Bronckhorst for the post-game press conference, and there was nothing to read into regarding the reaction.

We wouldn’t want to be St. Mirren on Sunday, with a huge response coming their way, and some of that anger is waiting to be released.

In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has shared his reaction to a “huge” development at Ibrox to come in April
