Carlos Carvalhal reacts to Alfredo Morelos injury ahead of Braga v Rangers
Carlos Carvalhal doesn’t appear to be too bothered with the absence of Alfredo Morelos for Rangers.
The Gers will be without their talisman striker ahead of their crucial Europa League clash against Braga, with the Colombian being ruled out till the end of the season this week.
The Braga boss has downplayed any advantage, suggesting that like Rangers, they are also missing a few players and that it’s a part of the game.

The Colombian striker picked up a thigh injury during the international break and underwent surgery.
“I can say the same, I have two or three injuries and I can say that if I have my players then we will be better because I have better options,” said Carvalhal, as quoted by The Daily Record when asked about Morelos.
“We have injuries, Rangers have injuries, this is part of the game.”
Big blow
No matter how you put it, this is an earth-shattering blow for Rangers.
The Gers are heavily reliant on him, and they will miss a great goalscorer.
Morelos has scored 19 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions this season, and it won’t be easy to fill his void instantly.
This has come after a demoralizing 2-1 defeat against Celtic, which as it stands, has almost put an end to the Gers’ title hopes.

At the same time, the Bears have plenty of games left this season, and they have to pick themselves up quickly.
With Morelos now out of the picture, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have to rely on Kemar Roofe to deliver in such a huge game against Braga and for the rest of the season.
Roofe is an experienced forward who can play in multiple positions. He has a good scoring record as well, and he can be a potent threat if properly used.
In other Rangers news, the manager has confirmed another injury absence in the squad.
