Barry Ferguson shares if he thinks Rangers will sack Giovanni van Bronckhorst after Celtic defeat
Barry Ferguson does not see Rangers sacking Giovanni van Bronckhorst despite their 2-1 defeat against Celtic.
With that result, Gers now find themselves six points adrift of their rivals at the top of the SPFL table.
Given the number of games left, the Hoops are now the overwhelming favourites to lift the title.

Speaking on Go Radio, Ferguson said, “No, I can’t see [him getting the sack]. No way.
“He’s only had one window in January and we all know what that window is like, it’s a tough window.
“I think the summer is massive for Gio and speaking to him last week, he knows that.
“There are players he wants to extend [their] contracts and there are players he’s identified to make Rangers stronger and better so there’s no doubt in my mind that he will be the manager at the start of next season.”
Makes sense
Judging van Bronckhorst after he took over mid-season is a tad unfair.
Once he gets his players in and spends an entire pre-season with them, that’s when the real test begins.

Even if he does not guide Rangers to the title, he should be given time at least until next season.
If after that, there are still no signs of progression, then he must be shown the door.
He is a former player so he knows what it means to see Celtic lifting the championship from under their noses and it definitely would not be sitting well with them either.
In other Rangers news, the club have terminated a major deal citing a breach of contract which also comprises of significant branding issues.
