Kris Commons reacts to glass bottle incident in Rangers loss v Celtic
Kris Commons has hammered Rangers fans for showing their lack of class during their 2-1 defeat against Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
It was a fantastic contest between the two sides but the clash was spoiled as some fans threw glass bottles on the pitch.
In the second half, as the players returned to the pitch, Joe Hart pointed out that shattered glass bottles were smashed around the penalty area.

The game was delayed for around five to six minutes as the groundsmen quickly cleared up the glass, and Commons was furious with the Rangers fans for this idiotic behaviour.
“Rangers have simply got to find the culprits and ban them for life. Seriously, what sort of idiot goes to a football match and thinks it’s a good idea to throw bottles onto the pitch?” wrote Commons for the Daily Mail.
“I’m not convinced a glass bottle would actually smash on a grass pitch unless it was thrown from a truly extraordinary height.
“So, unless it shattered off a goalpost, you’ve got to consider the possibility that someone has gone to Ibrox with a broken glass bottle in their pocket, with the intention of throwing the shards onto the pitch.”
Idiotic
It is indeed an idiotic behaviour from a section of the fans and it is simply unacceptable.
Commons is spot on that the culprits should be found and they should be banned for life for coming up with this idea.
It is indeed shocking how did a glass bottle get into the ground. Commons has a theory here, but it is far from convincing.
Whatever it is, the intention was to disrupt the game. Those minority fans lacked common sense that it could have easily caused serious injuries to the players on the pitch.

Thanks to Hart who spotted it and actions were taken quickly.
Rangers have now gone six points behind Celtic in the title race. The Bhoys have got a healthy goal difference advantage as well, and they are firm favourites to win the title.
Even if they lose twice in the six games, they will still be able to lift the trophy. It’s difficult to catch them now after the latest defeat.
In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has shared his reaction to a “huge” development at Ibrox to come in April.
