Andy Walker and Ally McCoist slam Allan McGregor in first half of Rangers v Celtic
Ally McCoist and Andy Walker slammed Allan McGregor after Rangers conceded to Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Aaron Ramsey’s opener was quickly cancelled out when Tom Rogic poked home a rebound after Reo Hatate’s shot was pushed to the Australian by 40-year-old McGregor.
Ibrox legend McCoist and ex-Celtic player Walker both feel as though it would have been avoided if McGregor pushed the ball wider of the goal after Hatate’s shot.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football on Sunday [3 April, 12:07pm], Walker said: “Here’s the shot from Hatate, decent save from McGregor but could he push it wider? Possibly.
“But Rogic is there to get Celtic on level terms.
“An extraordinary start to this game.”
McCoist then it was “quite unbelievable” before adding: “I think McGregor should be pushing that wider but you’ve got to give credit to Rogic.”

Messy
McGregor wasn’t the only man at fault for that goal.
Calvin Bassey’s defending against Callum McGregor was weak while the left-back also switched off and got nowhere near Rogic before the rebound was scored.
It was just too easy for the away side, which is surprising given how well the Light Blues started the game.
It was an electric start to the game for both sides but the Celtic goal did dampen things a bit.
Their defence was all over the place and that continued to be the case throughout the first half while it’s obvious that our defence is also prone to a clanger.
Celtic have been the better side though with 45 minutes played and 45 minutes left on the clock.
Let’s hope Rangers can turn that around after the break because we simply must win this game.
