BBC man Tam Cowan cannot believe eyes as Rangers cancel Sydney Cup trip
Tam Cowan could not believe his eyes on Thursday at Rangers cancelling their upcoming trip for the Sydney Cup.
The BBC man insisted it was a “bonkers” decision with the financial reasons behind his thinking at Ibrox.
Rangers fans were left outraged at the initial decision, with numerous protests taking place on matchdays.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer today after the news [31 March], Cowan could not believe his eyes at the news.
“I’m caught between the devil and the deep blue sea with this,” he said.
“I think it’s bonkers that they cannot. They could have played a second-string team, I mean even with insurance stuff, they couldn’t have possibly contemplated sending first-team players across there.
“To turn their noses up at that sort of dosh for the reasons, apparently, I do think it’s bonkers.”
Bonkers?
Was it really that bonkers? Cowan has not looked at this from any perspective apart from the financial aspect.
It isn’t all about money, as we have found out in recent years with this complete rebuild from scratch at the club.
Not many clubs could have reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League basically 10 years after starting from square one.
It was having these fans travelling up and down the country in their thousands that meant the spark never died and now they are being rewarded once again.
Forgetting about them and signing the deal to go to Australia was embarrassing, and now it has been cancelled, we are back to normality.
Some may call it bonkers, we call it common sense.
