Alfredo Morelos jets off to London days before Rangers play Celtic

Alfredo Morelos is a huge doubt for the Old Firm as the Rangers striker was seen at Glasgow airport on Thursday (March 31).

The Colombian was spotted in crutches three days before the two Glasgow rivals were set to square off in a game that has been billed as one of the title deciders.

However, he seems to be heading to London to get scans and a negative report could see him being ruled out.

Via his personal Twitter account, journalist Andrew Dickson wrote, “Looks like Morelos is off for a scan in London. Sweaty three days ahead.”

Seems serious

If Morelos is on crutches just days before a game, surely things are not looking too great for him.

He seemed to have returned from international duty unscathed and the extra rest should have done him good.

However, it seems that he’s aggravated his leg since coming back and that puts him in huge danger of missing the game.

Without him, the Gers attack does not even seem half as potent as it actually is.

Should he be unavailable, their chances of winning the game reduce drastically as no other player can play as the talisman in the same way as the Colombian.

Defences are on the backfoot whenever he starts and psychologically that’s huge in games like the Old Firm.

We’re hoping that a miracle occurs and he’s deemed fit to play but at the moment, it seems unlikely.

In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
