Aston Villa now desperate to snatch Rangers sensation Rory Wilson – report
Aston Villa are now “desperate” to snatch Rangers attacking sensation Rory Wilson, according to the Daily Record.
The newspaper has reported on their website that the English Premier League side want the Scotland under-17 wonderkid.
It has been reported that the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool are in the race, with things really starting to heat up [Daily Star].

Brighton are also said to be in the race for Wilson, with David Weir continually looking to raid Auchenhowie for our best talent.
Despite all of this news with clubs appearing to be in a queue, there is still hope at Ibrox that the wonderkid may stick around.
The Scottish Daily Express have reported that Wilson has not yet asked to leave Glasgow, with the hope he can ignore the interest.
It is reported that Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Ross Wilson have been left encouraged by those developments.

Desperate.
This is not a good look on Steven Gerrard.
The former boss knows all of the talents that are about to break through at Ibrox and is using that to his advantage with big money behind him at Villa Park.
Villa can throw whatever cash they want around with their American owners, and if a move was to happen, the Bears would be low-balled here.
It is expected that £300,000 would be enough compensation for the 17-year-old, who has scored goals for fun recently.
With Villa said to be desperate to get a move over the line, we can surely all expect a concrete approach in the coming days and weeks.
Rangers and the board need to pull out all of the stops to keep Wilson, and that includes whatever he wants in a professional contract and a clear pathway to the first team in the next year.
Get it done.
