Rangers starlet Alex Lowry ‘unlike anyone else’ – BBC pundit
Rangers midfielder Alex Lowry has been lavished in praise since he scored on his debut in the Scottish Cup and it just keeps on coming for him.
The 18-year-old burst onto the scene when he drilled home his debut goal against Stirling Albion at Ibrox and he is getting more and more chances to shine for the Light Blues.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst must like what he sees from the Scottish Under-19 international and he’ll be hoping more praise keeps coming his way.

Former Rangers manager Graeme Murty is the latest to worship the teenager’s ability, offering a rave review on BBC Scotland’s Sportsound today.
“Alex is unlike anyone else at Rangers I would suggest in terms of his technical ability,” Murty said. “The range of passing that he sees and executes, his individual ability to go past people and he has a remarkable degree of self-confidence.
“He believes in himself to the utmost and he wants the ball, he’s hungry for it and wants to make things happen.
“It’s not a surprise when he comes on to make his debut, looks a home in a first-team match of that pace and of that tempo because he has the technique to play and you are not surprised that he scores.”
Future captain
He may be yet to start a Scottish Premiership game for the Gers but everything we’ve seen of him so far has been hugely positive.

It’s not just his exquisite technical ability that separates him from the rest of the pack but also his desire to win football games.
You can see whenever he is on the field he has this unmatched energy to cover ground and that tenacious attitude is exactly what any manager looks for in a leader.
He won’t be donning the armband anytime soon and rightly so, let him develop, but if he continues to do everything the way he has been then there is almost an inevitability in him eventually captaining Rangers further down the line.
That’s something every Light Blues fan would love to see but for now, let’s just enjoy marvelling in his genius and we can cross the captaincy bridge when we get there.
In other Rangers news, one player has made an admission about a crucial decision van Bronckhorst made earlier in the season.
