Kris Boyd issues Rangers warning ahead of Old Firm derby v Celtic
Kris Boyd warns Rangers to start the game strongly after losing 3-0 to Celtic the last time the two sides met.
Despite going into that game on the back of good form and as favourites, Gers capitulated to their rivals and surrendered their advantage at the top of the table.
They’re still playing catchup to Celtic and Boyd believes they need to work a lot harder to win on April 2.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the Rangers Legends v World XI match at Ibrox, he said, “You are going to have to start the game a lot better, sharper, brighter than you did [at Celtic Park].
“The game was over at half-time, effectively, after the start Celtic got.
“The damage was done in the first half for Rangers and it shows you if you don’t start a game properly you’ll get punished.”
Good point
The performance against Celtic was unacceptable and another showing in front of the home fans will not be welcomed.
Ibrox will be buzzing from the start, but Gers need to begin the game strongly and not allow their rivals any way into the contest.

An early goal could go a long way to giving the players that extra lift and that could carry them over the line.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst must drill this into the heads of the players as a win suddenly makes his side favourites for the league.
Hopefully, they perform like they did in Europe and come away with the three points.
In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
