Josh Ginnelly names Rangers man Ryan Kent in top three opponents

Josh Ginnelly has named “frightening” Rangers ace Ryan Kent as one of the three best players he has faced in his career.

The last two games against Hearts see the Gers boast a 7-0 aggregate with Ryan Kent having a hand in getting Ginnelly sent off in their December clash.

Despite witnessing the full force of Ibrox on several occasions the winger claimed that the atmosphere at Tynecastle Park is the best in the league.

“Obviously Celtic and Rangers have got bigger stadiums but our atmosphere is probably the best in the league, or on par with Celtic and Rangers,” he said as per the Baller Corner podcast.

When asked for the three best opponents he has faced, Ginnelly said: “I would say Joao Felix (Atletico Madrid), Ryan Kent, Ben Pearson’s ridiculous as well.

“There are so many players I’ve played with and they’re just frightening.”

Big player

Ginnelly has to say that, doesn’t he? Surely there is no way he believes Tynecastle produces a better atmosphere than Ibrox, but they can always dream.

It was no surprise to hear how highly he held Kent in his estimation though. The former Liverpool man has given hearts a terrible time since coming to Scotland with a couple more blinding displays against them this season as well.

He ran Ginnelly ragged in their 2-0 away win earlier in the season which left the Hearts man being sent off as he tried so desperately as the fouls mounted up as he tried to contain him.

Kent’s career has taken off since coming to Scotland. He has bagged a whopping 44 goals and 57 assists in 281 games so far for the Light Blues.

The Englishman has a big part to play from now until the end of the season as the Bears look to add a couple more trophies to their cabinet.
