Barry Ferguson predicts more to come from Rangers ace Aaron Ramsey
Ex-Rangers captain Barry Ferguson believes there is even more to come from Aaron Ramsey after the Wales star returned to full fitness recently.
Ramsey joined the club in the January transfer window but has struggled with fitness problems, restricting him to just three starts for the Light Blues so far.
But he got his first goal for the club in the win over Dundee last weekend and completed 80 minutes for Wales in midweek in their World Cup qualifier win over Austria, and Ferguson told the Daily Record that there is even more to come.

“While the protests at Dens weren’t great to see, what did encourage me was the sight of Aaron Ramsey getting through another 80-minutes,” he said.
“It will have done him the world of good and so will another him getting another 90 in a tense game for Wales in their World Cup play-off win over Austria.
“He showed for a brief spell against Dundee what he is capable of. He got the equaliser with a tap-in but before that it was his influence which saw Rangers really step up a level and put Mark McGhee’s side under pressure.
“Don’t get me wrong, I still think there’s more – loads more – to come from him but the fact he’s been able to back up two decent run outs one after the other just five days apart is good news for Rangers with Celtic to come next week.
“I know how difficult it is to regain top-level fitness when you’ve been out for a few months. You can train all you like but you can’t beat a proper 90 minutes of action and Ramsey’s now got some proper blow-outs under his belt.
“Hopefully that means he’s ready to really rock when Ange Postecoglou’s men visit Ibrox next Sunday.”

Game changer
Without a doubt there is a real game changer in Ramsey in the Rangers squad ahead of the upcoming season run-in.
The first game back after the international break is an Old Firm derby that could see the two teams end up level on points at the top with a Rangers win, before a game with St Mirren is sandwiched between the Europa League quarter-finals legs against Braga.
The Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic follows that, so Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be praying that he can rely on his squad depth to carry them through those games with positive results.
If Ramsey is fit and firing then he’ll certainly be knocking on the door to start those games and help his team to a historic end of the season, finally silencing the doubters from his move.
His quality is a real game changer in the big moments for the team and if he can stay fit, it’s hard not to see him having a say on what happens.
