Rangers players could face Aaron Ramsey’s Wales in World Cup qualifiers
Wales edged past Austria in their World Cup playoff game last night which could set up a Rangers face-off between Aaron Ramsey and his Scottish teammates.
The 31-year-old played the entire game for Rob Page’s side as world superstar Gareth Bale carried the Dragons to a 2-1 victory at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Scotland were due to play their own qualifier last night too having been drawn against Ukraine but both national football associations agreed to postpone the game as a result of the atrocities taking place in Ukraine right now.

The date for the rearranged game is yet to be confirmed but if the Scots do knock Ukraine out of the tournament, then the likes of Ryan Jack and Allan McGregor might face off against their Light Blues teammate.
At 40 years of age, McGregor’s involvement is unlikely but Jack, who starred for Steve Clarke’s side last night against Poland in a friendly, will be ready for battle against his midfield counterpart.
The two have struck up a good connection at Ibrox recently and Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been reaping the rewards of that but it could all boil over when they go head-to-head.

There is a danger that when the two fiery characters take each other on, injuries could very quickly follow and van Bronckhorst could do with reminding them both of their importance at Ibrox before it occurs.
This could all be irrelevant if Ramsey’s loan from Juventus isn’t extended another year or made permanent in the summer but given his performances over the past handful of games, it would be very wise to keep him in Glasgow for another season at least.
In other Rangers news, one Light Blues player has received a glowing review from this BBC pundit after his own international display last night.
