Rangers notify Police Scotland due to alleged ‘fraudster’
Rangers have notified Police Scotland after an alleged “fraudster” preyed upon fans, the club’s supporters’ liaison officer has confirmed.
Greg Marshall has tweeted that someone is allegedly scamming Rangers fans, saying that he’s selling the remainder of his season ticket at Ibrox.
Fans have been told to stay wary while the police have been made aware too.

“Rangers have been made aware that several supporters have fallen victim to a fraudster claiming to sell the remainder of their season ticket,” said Marshall on the RangersFC SLO Twitter account on Thursday [24 March].
“Please be extremely vigilant and do not send money to people you do not know.
“We have notified Police Scotland.”
Stay vigilant
It’s not the first time we’ve seen something like this in Scottish football so it’s definitely something that fans in general need to be wary of.
Rangers tickets are always in high demand and there are horrible people out there who are trying to take advantage of that and defraud fans of their hard-earned cash.
Always be careful when buying tickets away from the club’s official channels and maybe, for the time being, the safest bet is to avoid getting tickets on social media or other online areas.
Hopefully, the police can sort the matter out and catch whoever was allegedly responsible.
Rangers have some massive fixtures coming up after the international break as they battle Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
On top of their title defence, the Gers are also aiming to get to the Europa League semi-finals as they face Braga in the quarter-finals.
A huge match against Celtic is also coming up at Hampden Park, in which the Light Blues will be hoping to make the Scottish Cup final.
In other Rangers news, BBC Scotland were the unlikely heroes for the Gers on a day of shame.
