GvB needs to intervene

His situation has alerted a host of Premier League clubs, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City locked in battle for his signature.

He is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe, a Scottish “sensation”, and no wonder why heavyweight clubs are sniffing around him.

There is also interest from the likes of Leeds United and Newcastle.

Scouts from United and City have watched the youngster this week, and they are heavily impressed. Any potential club will have to pay around £300,000 in compensation.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst needs to have a talk with him. He is a fantastic talent and the club cannot let him go so easily.

He wants to emulate Billy Gilmour, who moved to Chelsea from Rangers, and play professional football in England.

The Dutchman should make him understand that he has got a bright future ahead of him, and that right now, he needs to focus on his development and get into the senior team at Rangers.

In other Rangers news, one first team player received heavy praise from a BBC pundit for his display during the international break.
