David Edgar reacts as Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos picked up injury
David Edgar wants Rangers to recall Alfredo Morelos from international duty with Colombia after he reportedly picked up an injury.
The striker was left out of the Colombian squad for their crunch World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, which they won 3-0.
According to W Radio Colombia journalist Pipe Sierra on Thursday [24 March], Morelos missed the game with a “muscular overload”.
Writing on the Heart and Hand Podcast’s official Twitter account, the club’s official media partner, Edgar has shared his reaction to the news. He wrote: “Get him home now.”
Sensible decision
There’s no point keeping Morelos away from the club if he is injured and has no chance of playing for Colombia.
In that case, Rangers should look to find a way to bring Morelos to Ibrox, so that he can take adequate rest, nurse his injury and get ready for the tough games ahead.
Morelos has been in very good form for the Gers, especially in European games, but there is a feeling that he needs to score more in the league as well.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst will definitely want Morelos to be fit, as he is absolutely vital to his plans. There are even suggestions that Morelos is probably suffering from a burnt-out, as the Dutchman hardly gives him a break.
Rangers should insist on bringing him back especially if he is not in the manager’s first-team plans and carrying an injury along with it.
Kemar Roofe has looked hungry in recent games, and he can be a very good option for the Gers in case Morelos needs some treatment after he returns.
