Dave Edwards blasts Rangers star Aaron Ramsey live on Sky for Wales v Austria

Dave Edwards has destroyed Rangers star, Aaron Ramsey, as Wales beat Austria on Thursday evening in Cardiff.

The midfielder wasted a great free-kick opportunity late in the second half, smashing his cross into row Z when it was a chance to whip it in.

The Sky Sports pundit blasted Ramsey’s efforts as “very poor” as the Welsh looked to defend their lead late on.

Speaking live on Sky Sports during their coverage of the clash [24 March, 21:33] Edwards was not impressed.

“We don’t often say poor,” he said.

“But, that was very poor from Aaron Ramsey.”

Poor.

Edwards may have blasted Ramsey for his efforts in certain parts, but apart from that, he was out of this world for his country.

Completing nearly 100 minutes, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will also have been mightily impressed watching on.

This is a brilliant sign for the Bears, who will take on Celtic next up after the international break, and having players like Ramsey at 100% is huge.

One thing that we can guarantee is that it will be James Tavernier on set-pieces, though, with Ramsey not having that touch.

Ramsey was magic throughout for his country as they went one game from the World Cup, let’s hope he can do the same for the Gers after this break.

After a frustrating couple of months since arriving, starting and scoring at Dundee before starring for an entire game with his country, this is the Ramsey we were all expecting.

Long may it continue.
