Wales coach Rob Page pleased to see Aaron Ramsey at Rangers
Aaron Ramsey was right to move to “big club” Rangers and his recent goal has filled him with confidence says Wales boss Rob Page.
The midfielder is back in the Welsh squad for the World Cup playoff semi-final tonight against Austria, having scored Gers’ first in the 2-1 win at Dundee last weekend.
The start and goal were both firsts in Glasgow for the on-loan ex-Arsenal man, having struggled for fitness so far, but looks ready to make the most of his opportunity at Ibrox.

The Welsh manager page said ahead of the game, via the Scottish Sun: “I think Aaron’s made the right decision to move away from Juventus.
“It was frustrating for him and he wasn’t getting the minutes he wanted there.
“It made sense for him to go to a big club like Rangers.
“He’s probably frustrated he hasn’t played as many minutes as he’d have liked.
“But he’s joined us off the back of 80 minutes, he’s scored a goal, he’s full of confidence and he’s ready for the game.”
Time is now
Ramsey was primarily available due to his fitness struggles in Turin so it was always a risk that would continue.
He looks to have overcome those difficulties at a perfect time, playing a key role in a difficult SFPL game.
And he will be looking to make an important contribution for his country tonight (24 March).

Bears fans will be on edge for the duration of the international period, hoping that the midfielder doesn’t pick up another knock.
The season has reached a crucial juncture, with three trophies still on offer.
High hopes upon his arrival were somewhat let down, but apparently back towards his best he can still leave a lasting imprint on this season in Scotland.
Should he do that perhaps his stay will be extended.
In other Rangers news, Charlie Adam made a dismissive claim of the controversy between the club and fans.
