Rangers ace Connor Goldson outlines ‘crazy month’ ahead for team

Connor Goldson has outlined a “crazy month” ahead for Rangers as they continue to fight in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League.

The Gers scraped past Dundee yesterday afternoon [March 20] to keep the pressure on league leaders Celtic.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side can go into the international break still in touching distance of both competitions after the 2-1 victory at Dens Park.

“We said a few weeks ago we had 10 cup finals – we’ve got seven left,” Goldson told The Scotsman.

“If we want to win the league, we know how we need to be and how big our results have to be.

“We need to go on and win every one. So, we need to rest up, get a bit of a break and then come back for a crazy month.”

Tactical masterclass

It was an ugly win but a win, nonetheless. In weeks gone by the Gers would have drawn that very difficult encounter but they showed Champions intent with their late fightback.

It didn’t look to be the Light Blues day when James Tavernier skied his penalty over the bar, but they stuck with it and got across the line with all three points.

The biggest difference in this win compared to the disappointing results in recent weeks was the manager. He made five substitutions throughout the game to great effect.

Kemar Roofe came on and changed the game for Rangers. The forward had a huge hand in both goals and without his involvement, the Bears wouldn’t have won.

Fortunately the players can now have a couple weeks rest as they set their sights on finishing the season as strongly as possible which hopefully results in more silverware.
