Kenny Dalglish waxes lyrical over Rangers duo Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent

Sir Kenny Dalglish has been left impressed by the performances of Rangers attackers Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos over the past week.

He believes that Giovanni van Bronckhorst has got them firing on all cylinders again.

After a slow start to the season, Dalglish claims that the Colombian is now looking like a striker who’s got an eye for goals again.

In his Sunday Post column, he wrote, “In European football this season, the Dutchman has displayed his willingness to adapt, and make substitutions at crucial times.

“I like the way Giovanni has got Alfredo Morelos really going again, and also has Kent looking very hungry.”

Phenomenal

GvB has had a phenomenal impact on the Rangers attackers this season.

Under Steven Gerrard, things had got a bit stale in the final third and his absence opened the door for the Dutchman to bring fresh ideas to the table.

Morelos looks like the player he was last season and that’s why he was so heavily linked with a transfer in the summer.

Performances like these are certainly not going to cool interest in his services, but he may prefer to stay if Gers win the title and secure Champions League qualification.

The next few weeks are key as if they manage to beat Celtic then they’ll be in the ascendancy going into the business end and number 56 could be a big reason why Morelos chooses to extend his current deal.

In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
