Kris Boyd says no team will want to play Rangers
Kris Boyd has made a bold statement that nobody will want to face Rangers after the Gers moved into the last eight of the Europa League.
The Bears lost 2-1 at the Marakana in the second leg, but they won 4-2 on aggregate to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years.
It was a resilient performance from the visitors, but the damage was already done in the first leg.

The former Ibrox striker said that it is an “unbelievable” achievement from the club, and that the Gers are a threat for any side.
Boyd told Sky Sports, as relayed by The Daily Record: “It’s fantastic for Rangers to reach the last eight of a European competition. It’s an unbelievable achievement.
“The damage was done in the first leg. Rangers have found a way to get the job done, even though they lost. Nobody will want to play Rangers.
“They are a threat, they can be compact, but they also have blistering pace on the counter-attack.
“It’s fantastic from Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Rangers, and it’s great for Scottish football. They’ll look forward to the draw.”

What an impact Giovanni van Bronckhorst has made at the club!
When Steven Gerrard left the club to join Aston Villa, there were uncertainties around Ibrox about how the future would pan out.
It has not only been a seamless transition under the Dutchman, but the Gers have actually become a lot better team under him, especially in Europe.
After dismantling Borussia Dortmund, they have knocked out another big side from the competition.

In the first leg, the Gers took a massive 3-0 lead, and all they needed was a resilient show in Serbia under a hostile environment.
Mirko Ivanic drilled in an early opener to give the Serbian champions hope. The Gers could have crumbled under pressure, but this team has proved that they are mentally tougher.
When Ryan Kent scored in the second half, it killed the competition. The home side kept on attacking, but Allan McGregor was equal to the task, as he made some fantastic saves.
