Michael Beale sends instant reaction to Rangers two-leg win v Red Star in Europa League

Michael Beale has delivered his instant reaction to Rangers reaching the quarter-finals of the Europa League this evening.

Despite losing 2-1 in the second-leg to Red Star, the big three-goal win in the opening clash at Ibrox was enough.

Beale admitted it was an amazing achievement from his former side, who are now four matches from the final in Seville.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Beale made sure to send his instant reaction to the clash over in Serbia.

“Congratulations Rangers on reaching the last 8 of the Europa League,” he wrote.

“Amazing achievement from staff, players and fans.”

Amazing.

Wow, what an evening this was.

The hostile environment was everything that everyone said it would be, but the lads dealt with it perfectly throughout.

From Allan McGregor pulling off unbelievable saves to Ryan Kent smashing home a goal when the clash was well and truly in the air.

Beale and likely Steven Gerrard will have been watching back home, knowing that their previous records from the past two years were broken.

Reaching the final eight is huge, and we are now at a stage where anything could happen, so all eyes will be on the draw tomorrow.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has masterminded huge wins over Borussia Dortmund and now Red Star Belgrade, so, who knows just how far we could go?

Bring anyone on, that’s what we say.
