Mark Hateley destroys Rangers defending live on BBC v Red Star
Mark Hateley was left raging after some of Rangers defending in their Europa League showdown with Red Star this evening.
The Bears conceded early in Serbia after allowing the ball to bounce from a short corner before the ball was slammed home.
Hateley, watching the game with the BBC, admitted that letting the ball go unchallenged was “unforgivable” at this level of football.

Speaking live during BBC coverage of the game, Hateley destroyed what he saw over in Serbia this evening.
“That’s been the vulnerability for Rangers all season, balls into the box from corners and free-kicks,” he said.
“Someone has to go and attack this. At this level, that much space is unforgivable.”

Rescue.
If it wasn’t for Allan McGregor at times, we would have given up that lead within the first half at the Marakana.
Red Star had numerous chances, and the veteran keeper was forced into two brilliant saves to keep the Bears ahead.
The defending at key moments was questionable, to say the least, with letting the ball bounce and losing out on key 50-50s just two of the huge problems.
It was a first goal that saw numerous defenders stand around waiting for one another to deal with it, and when no one took control, it was an easy finish from point-blank range.
Someone needs to start commanding those areas, with this becoming a recurring issue far too often in this side.
