Rangers fans to get 58% Old Firm discount on tickets for Sydney Super Cup
Rangers will travel all the way to Australia in November for the first-ever Sydney Super Cup where they will come up against their Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Despite angered responses from both sets of supporters, the plans are surging ahead and ticket prices have now been revealed for the first Old Firm derby outside of Scotland.
Supporters hoping to attend the game at the 83,500 all-seater Accor Stadium, a new ground in the Australian city, can expect to get a ticket for as little as £21, as reported by the Daily Record.

That is a huge 58% lower than what fans in Scotland have to pay for the same game at either Ibrox or Parkhead who both charge £50 or more for the Old Firm clash.
The pricing for each match depends on the location within the stadium with a split between both sets of fans.
What about us?
While these massive discounts are all well and good for those lucky folks living the good life in Australia, what about all of us Light Blues fans in the UK?
Are we supposed to hop on a flight and travel all the way around the world just for a cheaper ticket to the big occasion?

If anything, these low prices should be standard here on home shores rather than Australia needing to up theirs.
Football is quickly becoming a highly expensive love affair for many a football fan and prices as low as this for such a big game is what we need to start moving towards.
The only problem is this ego battle between the two clubs and neither wants to budge on their ticket prices to seem inferior in comparison to the other, and it needs to stop.
