Graham Spiers mocks Robinson over Rangers v Celtic after Tuesday morning announcement
Graham Spiers believes that Rangers are getting a continuous ‘savaging’ from their fans over the Celtic game in Australia.
On Tuesday (March 15), Gers announced that the men’s and women’s first-team players, the staff and directors will be donating a minimum of £72,000 to support people affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Spiers replied and stated that Stewart Robertson would desperately be looking to get out of this game which has been branded the ‘Ange homecoming tour.’
Via his personal Twitter account, Spiers wrote, “Rangers announce a kind gesture re Ukraine…only to get a continuing savaging from supporters over the Ange homecoming tour.
“It is hard to believe James Bisgrove or the knee-trembling Stewart Robertson have not been desperately trying to find a way to get out of this gig.”
Spot on
It was a ridiculous thing to sign up for in the first place and they need to find a way to get out of this.
To promote the Old Firm in a different country is one thing, but to make it look like an Ange tour is baffling.

Clearly, the game is happening Down Under because the Celtic boss is an Australian and Gers have everything to lose from this.
The club hierarchy needs to show some leadership and find a way to hold their ground and back out of this tour.
However, that does not seem like happening, as things stand, which is why the fans are fuming over the club.
In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
