Stephen Craigan blown away by Alex Lowry in Rangers win v Dundee

Stephen Craigan was left blown away by Rangers midfielder Alex Lowry in the 3-0 win over Dundee on Sunday afternoon.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst gave numerous young talents chances off the bench as the Bears cruised to Hampden in the Scottish Cup.

Craigan hailed Lowry and his involvement in the third goal as “perfect” as he got the assist for Fashion Sakala.

Speaking during live coverage of the clash on Premier Sports, Craigan saved special comments for the young playmaker.

“I have to say, well done young Alex Lowry,” he said.

“He picked the perfect time to release the pass, others may have released it a little bit earlier, but he waited, he tried to draw Jordan McGee towards him, then popped it off to Fashion Sakala.”

Perfect.

Lowry is really coming into his own when coming into the first team this season, and we can’t wait to see more.

The young midfielder is made perfectly for that attacking midfielder role, and his progression could take the burden off Joe Aribo down the line.

There is also the possibility of Aribo leaving Ibrox in the near future, so Lowry jumping to that next level could be critical.

Early signs are very positive for Lowry, and his increased game time under Van Bronckhorst is only going to work wonders for his confidence.

There is still some time to go until he is unleashed in the Scottish Premiership or the Europa League, but the early signs are wonderful right now.

We can’t wait for more.
