BBC pundit Willie Miller gushes over Rangers defender James Tavernier
Willie Miller was gushing over James Tavernier as Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 in the Scottish Cup.
In what was a comfortable win for the defending SPFL champions, the BBC pundit was quick to single out the Gers captain for praise.
Tavernier was tireless from start to end and combined well with the attackers on the day.

“Tavernier a bit of quality isn’t he, just a sensational player. It was an easy afternoon for rangers,” Miller said on the Sportsound Podcast.
Phenomenal
The Gers captain seems to be ageing like fine wine and appears better with each passing season.
At the start of every campaign, there are doubts as to whether or not he’ll be able to sustain those kinds of performances.
However, he does that time and again and proves all his doubters wrong every year.
It’s strange that Gareth Southgate has not given him an England call up.

The Three Lions head coach likes attack-minded full-backs and Tavernier fits the bill perfectly.
He’s also a great threat from set pieces and arguably could be their second choice after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, Gers fans would not care that much about him and in fact, would be pleased that he gets his much-needed rest during international breaks.
Hopefully, there is more to come from the captain and he keeps giving his hundred per cent for at least the next two or three seasons.
In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
