Chris Sutton delivers strange Rangers verdict, Ally McCoist pokes fun at him
Celtic crazy Chris Sutton is hoping for Rangers to go through in their Europa League Round of 16 clash against Red Star Belgrade.
Gers registered an emphatic 3-0 win in the first leg, putting themselves in good shape for the return game in Serbia next week.
While Sutton admits that it’s going to be a partisan atmosphere, he hopes for a Gers victory as it will help the SPFL with its European coefficient.

Speaking on BT Sport’s Scottish Football Extra, Sutton said, “I think Rangers will go through.”
To which Ally McCoist asked: “Do you really? Did you say ‘I hope Rangers will go through’?”
Sutton responded, “Listen, for the coefficient, I hope Rangers go through.”
McCoist said, “Having a think about it, I think it’s the most intimidating place I’ve ever played football, in that stadium in Belgrade.
To which Sutton replied, “More intimidating than Celtic Park?”
“Oh yeah,” McCoist said. “I didn’t find Celtic Park intimidating, to be honest with you, Chris.
“I used to love going there. Intimidating? Celtic Park?”
Love this
It’s always funny to see Sutton and McCoist having a go at each other.
Celtic Park is clearly not an intimidating venue and it’s proven over the years.

Once the hosts are down, the silence inside is deafening.
The away leg against Red Star is certainly going to be an intriguing one.
The walks from the tunnel to the pitch are also eerie as fans can be heard shouting and screaming right from the dressing room area.
However, Gers can go in with their heads held high as they lead by three goals and if they focus on the job at hand they’ll easily qualify for the next round.
In other Rangers news, the club may sign a Dutch international to replace Allan McGregor and the keeper’s contract also expires in the summer.
