Jim White shares what Rod Stewart text him after Rangers smashed Red Star Belgrade

Jim White has shared the text he received from Rod Stewart after Rangers smashed Red Star Belgrade on Thursday evening.

The Bears will go to Serbia next week with a 3-0 lead, and one foot in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

Stewart sent his congratulations, but couldn’t help aiming a sly dig that Celtic will still win the Scottish Premiership this season.

Rangers

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning, White ended one of the segments with what the musician sent him after the clash.

“Sir Rod Stewart, as I was getting in my bed last night, in came the message ‘I’ve just seen the result’,” he said.

“Well done the Gers, keep the flag flying for Scottish football, the league title in Scotland is Celtics.”

Embarrassing.

Rangers simply have to keep flying the flag for Scotland and the coefficient, as Celtic continue to embarrass themselves every year.

When was the last time Celtic got through the group stage of one competition without dropping into another or simply finishing last?

It was that shocking for Scottish football this season, as they were knocked out of three European competitions in one campaign, how is that even possible?

Thankfully for everyone watching for Scotland, Rangers are doing the gods’ work, smashing Borussia Dortmund and now cruising to a quarter-final.

If the Bears come back and win the Scottish Premiership too, wow, would our near rivals be left red-faced?

Let them keep doing the talking.
