Glen Kamara vindicated as Ondrej Kudela drops racism appeal v Rangers ace
Slavia Prague defender Ondrej Kudela has today (Friday 11 March) withdrawn his appeal of racist abuse he aimed at Rangers player Glen Kamara.
As reported by Football Scotland, the Czech player opted to put the matter to bed by withdrawing his appeal of the incident in which he called Kamara a “[swear] monkey.”
Kudela was branded a 10-match ban for his comments towards the Finland international but that was suspended as a result of his appeal.

Now he has withdrawn the said appeal, he will serve those 10 matches.
A statement from lawyers Urban & Hejduk said: “In agreement with our client, we will file a withdrawal today of the appeal against UEFA’s disciplinary decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne,” as quoted by Football Scotland.
“We respect the client’s wishes to end the whole matter.”
Release the burden
This news will be an enormous weight off the shoulders of Kamara and the entire football club who have had this linger over them for far longer than it should have.
The 26-year-old has carried on performing to his startling best for the majority of his games since the incident occurred last season, showing his true professionalism.

It’s not just him that will be relieved to hear Kudela slapped with the punishment he deserves as every one of the Rangers players on the pitch that night can breathe a huge sigh of relief too.
They will all remember what that game felt like and have probably never experienced anything similar to it previously so to have retribution served will be massive for them.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst can also rely on Kamara to have that extra spring in his step against Dundee on Sunday and be at his peak for the Scottish Premiership title run-in.
In other Rangers news, Alex Rae could spot one huge issue for Rangers as they beat Red Star Belgrade last night.
