Charlie Adam blown away by Allan McGregor for Rangers v Red Star Belgrade
Charlie Adam was left stunned by Rangers keeper Allan McGregor in the Europa League this evening against Red Star Belgrade.
The veteran has faced big complaints in recent weeks, but he stepped up massively here, with an unbelievable penalty save.
Adam couldn’t believe his eyes as McGregor somehow tipped the ball around the post from a powerful drive.

Speaking during live coverage of the game on the BBC website, Adam was wowed by his former teammate at Ibrox.
“Not bad considering the criticism he had last week,” he said.
“That’s a quality penalty but an unbelievable save. In the Dortmund second leg, there was a moment where McGregor saved Rangers. He’s done it again tonight.”

Wow.
It was bedlam throughout the night at Ibrox, but this may have been the moment of the game.
Despite all of the brilliance going forward from the likes of Alfredo Morelos and the healthy lead we have, McGregor was the man.
This is exactly what he needed as well, with the leader in the group standing up and being counted despite being singled out recently.
It was the perfect response, and we’re still not sure how he got so much behind the save when the penalty was powered that much.
Now, we can’t allow what has happened previously to happen again – we have to go into our domestic form with this exact ruthless streak.
If there is one man who will make sure of that, it will be McGregor as he pushes the squad along with his perfect performance this evening.
