Two changes, Lundstram starts – Confirmed Rangers XI vs Red Star Belgrade
Rangers have made two changes to their starting lineup ahead of the huge Europa League last 16 clash with Red Star Belgrade at Ibrox.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has opted to bring in John Lundstram and Leon Balogun ahead of Borna Barisic and Fashion Sakala in a more defensive lineup than the one that beat Aberdeen 1-0 at the weekend.
Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos continue in attack after their brilliant showings in the last round against Borussia Dortmund, while Ryan Jack keeps his place too.
The bench has a place for January signing Aaron Ramsey and Amad Diallo, who recovers from injury to make the match-day squad. Scott Arfield is left out of the squad completely.
Confirmed Rangers XI vs Red Star Belgrade: McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Bassey; Lundstram, Jack, Kamara; Aribo, Morelos, Kent.
Strong
Van Bronckhorst has opted for defensive solidity with his team and plenty of strength in the middle of the park with his team selection.
Jack, Kamara and Lundstram offer a solid base to build from, while there is still energy and goals in that trio to help support the attacking trident of Joe Aribo, Kent and Morelos.

They will need to use their pace in attack and move the ball quickly in the final third against a side that has conceded just four goals so far this season in the competition.
Rangers will fancy their chances in this game, with Red Star only scoring six goals in their six group games but they must ensure that they play the game and not the occasion, with a huge chance to reach the quarter-finals of this competition ahead of them.
The boss has gone with a highly reliable side and will now hope that they can execute the game plan and provide another memorable Ibrox night for the fans.
