Tam McManus makes bold Rangers Europa League prediction
Tam McManus has suggested that Rangers can go all the way to the final of the Europa League this season.
The Gers are riding high on confidence after they defeated Borussia Dortmund 6-4 on aggregate to qualify for the knock-out rounds.
They face Red Star Belgrade on Thursday (10 March) at Ibrox, and it is expected to be a cracking contest.

McManus said on PLZ Football Show: “I think if Rangers can beat Dortmund and play the way they can play they can beat anyone.
“The league is huge for both clubs for the financial riches that come with it, but listen if Rangers get through this tie they’ve got a chance of getting to the semi-final or the final.
“They’re made for Europe, Rangers. They’re a team to fear.”
Staying grounded
The hallmark of all great teams is that they focus on one game at a time.
That’s what Rangers should be doing. They did a fantastic job in Germany winning 4-2 at Dortmund, and there’s no reason to believe why they can’t win away from home again.
However, every game brings new challenges, and Red Star will offer a different challenge from Dortmund. The Gers will have to prepare for that.
In European games, it’s foolish to expect that the Bears can replicate performances similar to that of Dortmund against every opponent. They are so many quality sides.

At best, they can stick to their own plans, and execute them as per the situation demands.
Having said that, the expectation levels have gone high, and probably that’s why the former Hibs striker is expecting the Gers to progress beyond the round of 16.
The league is huge for both the Old Firm clubs, but for now, beating Red Star should be the only target for Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
In other Rangers news, van Bronckhorst has confirmed that one of his star signings will be on the bench for tomorrow’s Europa League tie against Red Star Belgrade.
