Red Star Belgrade send Sunday message to Rangers ahead of Europa League showdown
Red Star Belgrade have sent a message to Rangers ahead of their Europa League showdown on Thursday evening.
The Bears celebrated their 150th anniversary over the weekend, beating Aberdeen 1-0 to mark the occasion at Ibrox.
Red Star insisted it was a “wonderful” milestone and delivered their congratulations to everyone involved at the club.

Writing on their official Twitter account, Red Star delivered the message ahead of the showdown this week.
“Wow, you guys are old,” they wrote.
“Congratulations to all Gers fans for your wonderful anniversary. We’ll see you on Thursday.”
Wow.
Thursday promises to be a huge European evening yet again at Ibrox, between two clubs drowning in history.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have been relieved to send home the packed Rangers crowd with all three points on Saturday afternoon after what was a struggle.
He will also know that the atmosphere will go up another level on Thursday, with a huge first leg ahead of his squad.
Getting off to the perfect start will be critical, as they did in Germany against Borussia Dortmund last time out.
This message from Red Star was a lovely touch from their staff online, but it will be all-out relentless football on the pitch once that whistle blows.
This season needs to be made special, and getting as far in Europe as well as fighting back to win the Scottish Premiership would be amazing, let’s hope this meeting can breed confidence back into the squad domestically too.
Bring it on.
